A Family Outing
Architecture and historic events/places are just two of the things that bring content into my life, I love learning about new places, how their past still holds a place in our future, so a few months ago I had the pleasure of visiting the gardens of Croome Court, and my god, beautiful is not the word. The craftsmanship that went into the stunning architecture of the buildings, the timeless landscaping of the grounds- created by scratch- only suggests what the inside of the Court itself looks like, unfortunately it was under renovation and was clouded in scaffolding upon scaffolding.
Nevertheless, the day itself was absolutely enchanting and I could fully imagine walking around in a flowing white dress and parasol to match! It would be a dream come true. As the house was closed off for visitors, it meant we only spent half the day here, my sister, my dad and I, so afterwards it gave us time to have a drive to Bourton on the Water, where we stopped for a drink to admire the Cotswolds scenery, followed by their infamous ice cream.
It really was a lovely day out and since family outings become a rarity as you get older, I appreciated it a lot more than I would've a few years back! Here are a few snaps from the day.
